News Update :

A cut above the rest... but new trim can't inspire Aubameyang as Real run riot

Thursday, 3 April 2014

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang showed his commitment to the Borussia Dortmund cause with a drastic new haircut.

Sadly, Real Madrid were a cut above the German side as they romped to a 3-0 win to leave Aubameyang and his team-mates with a mountain to climb in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Gabon striker showed off his new trim at the Bernabeu, but it couldn't inspire Dortmund as Real ran riot to take a healthy lead into next week's second leg.

Gareth Bale set Madrid on their way to victory after three minutes when he poked his shot past Roman Weidenfeller.

Isco doubled the home side's lead just before the half-hour mark when he fired through a crowded box to put them in the driving seat.

Cristiano Ronaldo equalled Lionel Messi’s record of 14 goals in one Champions League season to wrap up victory and close in on a semi-final spot.
