As Arsenal fans wait to finally get a glimpse of January
loan signing Kim Kallstrom, the Swedish midfielder has spoken to Swedish paper
Expressen about how his move to the Emirates came about.
After being an unused sub for Arsenal in the 6-0
thrashing at Chelsea, Kallstrom is in line for his first appearance for the
Gunners against Swansea on Tuesday night.
Kallstrom made the following comments about how be became
a Gunner:
Haha, no (Arsenal knew I was injured). It was a bit
special in that I was injured… it was a bit shitty timing there.
(Deadline day) was bewildering to say the least. It went
by very quickly. Then, Arsenal have taken good care of me and my
rehabilitation. Everything has been well controlled and I have received good
care and rehabilitation.
I was (a bit surprised). It wasn’t something I had
expected. Of course I was surprised. I’ve had a solid career and they needed
that type of player.
Arsenal is an incredible club. It is of course the
biggest club I have played for… Arsene Wenger is an amazing person. His
motivation and attitude has been one hundred per cent
