Yohan Cabaye has told Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard to
join him at cash-rich French giants Paris Saint-Germain next season.
Hazard has been ever better for the Blues in his second
campaign at Stamford Bridge and could lead them to the Premier League title,
while they are also in the Champions League last eight.
But Cabaye, the former Newcastle midfielder, who signed
for PSG in January for £19million, wants the 23-year-old to move to Ligue 1.
The pair played together at Lille before Cabaye headed to
England with the Magpies in 2011 and Cabaye is reported as saying: ‘Who would I
recruit if I was athletic director? Hazard is a player I would like to see at
PSG.
‘It would do so much good in Paris and for the
championship. He is one of the best players I’ve played against.’
The players are due to meet in the quarter-finals of
Europe’s elite competition next month and Cabaye added: ‘Eden Hazard is THE
Chelsea player.
‘He can make the difference at any time, can be dangerous
every time he touches the ball.’
Jose Mourinho will desperately want to keep hold of his
16-goal playmaker for next term as he relies on his midfield for goals as well
as creativity.
Hazard, who left Little for Chelsea in June 2012, has
been tipped as a leading candidate for the PFA Player of the Year award.
