AC Milan forward Robinho has admitted that he will most
likely remain at the club despite rumours linking him to former team Santos.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move back to the
Brazilian club for over a year now, but he claims that he plans on honouring
his contract with the Rossoneri for the time being.
Robinho spoke to GloboEsporte.com about the possible move
and commented on the Diavolo’s struggles in Serie A and their current success
so far in the Champions League.
“Will I return to Santos? It’s difficult to return now
because I have a contract with AC Milan. My future belongs to God,” said the
Brazilian international.
“We’re not having a good time in Serie A, but in the
Champions League we were the only Italian team to qualify for the knockout
stages.
“Now we will face Atletico Madrid, who are a very strong
side that will make it difficult for us.”
