The Gunners are believed to be hot on the heels of
Paul-Georges Ntep, with a report in Italy claiming the London side has already
made an offer.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Auxerre forward
Paul-Georges Ntep, with Arsene Wenger praising the young striker recently.
With the sprightly attacker impressing for the Ligue 2
side and also starring for France under-21, links to clubs in England and Italy
have emerged.
Arsenal and Roma are two of the sides being most heavily
linked with an approach for the striker, with potential for a January move on
the cards.
Tutto Mercato have reported that the north London side
have taken the initiative in the race for the youngster’s signature, and have
already bid €6 million for the future star.
The report also indicates that Roma are likely to go
toe-to-toe with Wenger’s men for Ntep.
Arsenal are thought to want to sign Ntep in January but
loan him back to Auxerre, in a bid to sweeten the deal.
The Gunners have past links with Auxerre also, as they
signed Bacary Sagna from the Burgundy club.
