Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal-scoring capability was evident
from the very first away match he played with Real Madrid, which took place in
Cornellá El-Prat against Espanyol (0-3) in the first official game played in
that stadium. The Portuguese striker has found the net in 61 of the 106 games
he has played outside the Bernabeu.
CR7 has scored in all competitions in which he has played
and has found the net in all Primera Division grounds on at least one occasion.
Of the 29 Spanish grounds he has visited, only the Riazor and Nuevo Condominia
stadiums have so far eluded him.
Ronaldo notched up 17 away goals in his first season at
Madrid, a figure that increased in the two subsequent seasons with a total of
21 away goals in the 2010/2011 championship and 29 in 2011/2012, his most
prolific season to date. This season he has found the net in 4 away matches
with a total of 6 goals.
