Reports suggest Emanuele Giaccherini may leave Sunderland
as quickly as he arrived with Inter Milan currently tracking the midfielder and
weighing up the possibility of making a formal approach in January.
According to talkSport, Giaccherini is happy with life at
the Stadium of Light having been brought in during the summer as part of former
Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio’s drastic overhaul.
Despite the club not winning a single Premier League game
this season, Giaccherini has been labeled as their star performer, currently
holding the title of the club’s top scorer with three goals in all
competitions.
Sunderland bought the Italian international from Serie A
champions Juventus but it seems Inter Milan are looking to save the midfielder
from Premier League troubles by offering him a way out.
The article suggests Inter manager Walter Mazzarri will
throw in a £6.5million offer, a total less than what the Black Cats paid for
him in the summer, to test the water.
