Goran Pandev enjoyed his brace against Genoa and now
Napoli “prepare for the Champions League game with Arsenal.”
The Macedonian broke his duck for the season in Saturday’s
2-0 victory at Marassi, taking advantage of a more attacking role with Gonzalo
Higuain rested.
“We wanted to bring home the three points after the ugly
night on Wednesday,” said Pandev, referring to their 1-1 home draw with bottom
of the table Sassuolo.
“We got right back on track and deserved this victory. I
prefer to play as a support striker, but I go where the Coach asks me to. The
important thing is that the team wins.
“The squad rotation is inevitable, as there’s a tough
fixture list and everyone is needed. We’ll see where we end up.
“Now we have to forget about this game and prepare for
Tuesday’s Champions League match with Arsenal.”
However, defender Raul Albiol went off at half-time
against Genoa with a muscular problem and is therefore in doubt for the trip to
the Emirates.
