Arsenal midfielder Ryo Miyaichi is unlikely to leave the
club before the end of August.
The Japanese winger has been strongly linked with a move
away from Emirates Stadium.
But despite his lack of first-team opportunities, Arsene
Wenger says he is not prepared to trim his squad anymore and will not let him
leave.
Miyaichi, 20, is currently recovering from a broken rib
but he could yet play a part for the north London club this season.
When asked if he would be leaving, Wenger said: "No,
not at the moment, He is injured.
"He should come back into full training next week,
and at the moment we are not on the way to give more players out.
"If you want to exist at the top level, you need to
be consistently fit. That is the next step for Ryo, to be every day in training
and show how good he is.
"Usually the body stabilises around 21 and adapts to
the sport or not, so it is a vital age for him now."
