The 'Who Did That to You?' singer and his fiancee are
said planning an Italian wedding this year in Lake Como because 'that's where
they fell in love.'
John Legend and his model girlfriend Chrissy Teigen
apparently are going to get married in Italy. A source, who overheard a
conversation between Chrissy and her friends at Wall at W South Beach on Friday
night, July 19, told E! News that the couple would tie the knot in Lake Como in
September.
One of Chrissy's friends allegedly said, "Of course
I am going to the wedding." The source added that Lake Como became the
pair's destination because "that's where they fell in love." Guests
reportedly will stay at Lake Como for four to five days for the wedding.
John and Chrissy started dating in 2007 after meeting on
the set of John's music video. The couple later got engaged in 2011. John's
publicist confirmed at that time that the soul singer popped the question
"while vacationing in the Maldives."
The Sports Illustrated model refused to say where her
wedding would take place. However, she told Showbiz Tonight this April that
"we're going to make people trek somewhere." During an interview with
PEOPLE at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami in June, she gushed over
details of her wedding plan.
"My cake is very important to me. I'm not a big
sweets person, which is why I'm really specific about the cake, which is going
to be a really multi-layer cake. It's layers and layers of crepe and pastry creme
in between with raspberry sauce," the model said. She also revealed that
she had chosen a "soft and gorgeous" Vera Wang dress for the wedding.
"I'm excited. I can't wait for the ceremony. [John]
and I have been working and traveling so much that we just let our wedding
planner do everything. We're not neurotic about it. I just want to finally see
all of my friends in one area," she added.
