Taylor Swift was mad at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for
cracking a joke about her love life on live television, and the "30
Rock" actress didn't see that coming. In a premiere event for her new
movie "Admissions", the 42-year-old star told E! News she was
surprised by Swift's reaction.
Recalling her hosting gig at the Golden Globe Awards
where she cracked many jokes about fellow celebrities with partner-in-crime
Poehler, Fey thought if anyone was going to be angry about her stunt that
night, it would have been "Avatar" director James Cameron.
Back then, Fey joked she didn't really know about
"Zero Dark Thirty" controversy "but when it comes to torture, I
trust the woman who spent three years married to James Cameron," referring
"the woman" to "Dark Thirty" helmer Kathryn Bigelow who was
previously married to Cameron.
As for the joke that didn't set well with Swift, Fey
warned the singer in a faux drunken speech to "stay away from Michael J.
Fox's son," who served as Mr. Golden Globes back then. Fey insisted Swift
needed "some 'me' time to learn about herself," while Poehler quipped
"Or go for it."
In an interview for her Vanity Fair cover story, Swift
slammed the two hosts, "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite
people because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved ... that
said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'
" The quote is attributed to former secretary of state Madeleine Albright.
Like Fey, Poehler has also reacted to Swift's angry
comment. "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a
young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But
for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff," the "Parks and
Recreation" actress told The Hollywood Reporter.
Not only Swift addressed Fey and Poehler's joke but she
also set the record straight about what happened between her and Harry Styles.
While the "Mean" hitmaker took it upon herself to fire back at the
two actresses, she authorized someone to speak on her behalf about her ex.
The source claimed the One Direction member pursued her
for a year and when they finally dated, he cheated on her. The relationship got
rocky after he alerted Swift of a picture on the web of him kissing a friend
good-bye. She broke things off but he kept trying to convince to take him back
until she finally gave in for the second time.
"But the whole time she says she feels like he's
looking at every girl," the source said. During the time they were in
London together he allegedly "disappears one night and after that it was
like he just didn't want to keep going." A rep for Styles denied all
claims made by Swift's source, insisting they were "undeniably
false."
