Former Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has revealed that
he will never coach Lazio as long as Claudio Lotito is president of the club.
The 45-year-old, who had two stints with the
Biancocelesti during his playing career from 1985-90 and 2004-06, does not see
eye-to-eye with Lotito after the two had a falling out over the former player’s
political views in 2006 which resulted in club’s chief allowing his contract to
run out.
Di Canio spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the
chances of him becoming Lazio boss and commented on the problems that current
coach Vladimir Petkovic is experiencing.
