PICTURES: Nigeria Football Federation Headquarters in Abuja on Fire

The headquarters of the Nigerian Football Federation, (NFF) is on fire.

Channels TV reports that the fire started from the top floor of the building, where the finance department is located but it was confirmed from our source that the fire only affected the secretary-general’s office.

NFF DRAMA CONTINUES: YUSUF AHMED AND CHRIS GREEN SUSPENDED

Yusuf Ahmed and Christopher Green have been suspended by the NFF from all football activities for a year and six months respectively.

This was decided as the Executive Committee met in Abuja on Thursday to discuss a number of issues.

The committee also mandated the secretariat to conclude talks with Stephen Keshi to continue as the Super Eagles coach.

The following resolutions were made:

1)    The Committee observed one –minute silence in memory of one-time Member of then NFA Executive Committee, Dr. Ayo Bello, who died in Ilorin, Kwara State on Thursday, 31st July, 2014, hailing his tremendous contributions to the game in Kwara State and at national level.

2)    The Executive Committee congratulated the Honourable Minister/Chairman, 

National Sports Commission, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, for Nigeria’s brilliant outing at the recently –concluded 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. 

NFF gets N25m from LMC

The sum represents five per cent of the monies the LMC has raised in sponsorship fees since coming on stream early this year.

NFF President Aminu Maigari said at the presentation that his body is proud of the works and other activities of the League Management Company, and will continue to give the body all the support it needs to forge ahead towards the goal of taking the Premier League to new heights.
