Dortmund confirm Reus clause

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Germany international Marco Reus does have a release clause in his contract.

Reus joined Dortmund in the summer of 2012 after the club activated a clause in his contract at former team Borussia Monchengladbach.

He enjoyed an impressive debut season with Jurgen Klopp's side and he has continued to prosper at the Westfalenstadion this term.

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp admitted his side are short of match fitness after labouring to a 1-0 win over Hannover on Saturday.

Marco Reus' fourth-minute penalty was ultimately enough to see off Mirko Slomka's side at Signal Iduna Park, but otherwise they failed to beat Ron-Robert Zieler in a nervy encounter.
