Julio Cesar & Luiz Gustavo in limbo

Thursday, 15 August 2013

The Brazil international duo insist no decision has been made over their potential summer moves
Julio Cesar and Luiz Gustavo have admitted that their futures remain undecided.

QPR goalkeeper Cesar was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal at the beginning of the summer, while Goal exclusively revealed on Monday that Arsene Wenger's side were closing in on a €20 million move for Bayern midfielder Gustavo.

Speaking to SporTV following Brazil's 1-0 friendly defeat to Switzerland on Wednesday, former Inter goalkeeper Cesar insisted he is talking to clubs but that nothing had been finalised, while Gustavo wants a quick resolution over his future.

Gustavo not signed with Wolfsburg, Arsenal refuse to pay asking price

Wednesday, 14 August 2013

Germany is a lovely country but Wolfsburg wouldn't be high up on the list of destinations to visit. It's the home and backbone of Volkswagen and that's about it. The local football club have had highs but last season only finished 11th, if Gustavo wants to further his World Cup dream then a better side would probably be advised.

The midfielder may well like the Bundesliga and Wolfsburg may well be prepared to pay him a very good wage but Arsenal could match the financials if they really wanted to and he'd have a much higher profile at the London club. He'd be across town from Paulinho and Sandro who he'll be battling with for a Brazil place and he'd likely get Champions League football.

Only Arsenal can Stop Arsenal from Signing Gustavo

The summer cannot get any more disappointing for Gunners as the club have failed to lure any of their top transfer targets as yet. Like always, Arsenal are linked with world class players but rarely do they sign one.

Latest reports suggest that Wenger has been wasting time bidding for Suarez as Liverpool star man has recently reiterated that he will be playing for Reds next season. Now there is no time left for wasting and Arsenal should sign quality players. Fans cannot get more desperate can they?

Luiz Gustavo talks up Arsenal move

Tuesday, 13 August 2013

According to reports yesterday, the Gunners had a £17million bid accepted for the Bayern Munich midfielder but with other teams, including Napoli, interested a move may come down to personal terms.

Gustavo, whose starting place at Bayern has been threatened by the arrival of Thiago Alcantara, said: “It is very important that I play first-team football to keep getting called up for Brazil. I have heard about the Arsenal interest. It’s a big club, so of course I’d like to play for them.

“Arsenal play a very attractive brand of football and have a very clever manager in Arsene Wenger.”

Gustavo craves first team football to boost World Cup chances as £14m switch to Arsenal moves nearer

Monday, 12 August 2013

Luiz Gustavo would welcome a move to Arsenal in order to gain more first team football ahead of the World Cup in Brazil next year.

The Bayern Munich defensive midfielder, who has found himself playing second fiddle to Javi Martinez at the European champions, is close to completing a £14million move to the Emirates this week.

Believing first team opportunities would continue to be scarce under new manager Pep Guardiola, the 26-year-old is keen to increase his time on the pitch and boost his international chances by coming to the Premier League.

Arsenal look to seal £74m trio by the end of next week, according to reports

Sunday, 11 August 2013

Arsenal will complete the triple capture of Bayern Munich’s Luiz Gustavo, Liverpool front man Luis Suarez and Swansea City defender Ashley Williams by the end of next week.

The north London club have so far been busy trying to secure a number of marquee signings during the summer transfer window ahead of the new Premier League season, which gets under way next weekend.

Wenger hopes to complete first big summer deal in coming days

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to finalise a deal for Bayern Munich star Luiz Gustavo in the coming days, according to the Daily Mail.

Gustavo will move to the Emirates Stadium for £14 million, days after Wenger said his side need to splash the cash more in the last few weeks of the window.

Big Spenders

Arsenal have not spent a penny in this transfer window, but Wenger is looking to change that with the signing of Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich.

Inter Target Wants Chelsea Or Arsenal Move

Friday, 9 August 2013

Bayern Munich midfielder and Inter target Luiz Gustavo is believed to prefer a move to the Premier League this summer if he were to depart the current Bundesliga champions.

So far the 26-year-old has been the subject of a loan bid from the Nerazzurri, as well as a cash offer from fellow Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, but although those propositions were rejected by the Champions League holders it would seem that the Brazilian could be holding out for a move to England.
