Roma and Inter want Sandro

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has admitted that he is aware that he is a transfer target of Serie A sides Roma and Inter Milan.
  
The Brazil international joined Spurs in 2010 when then coach Harry Redknapp brought him to London from Brazilian Serie A side Internacional, and he has since made 76 appearances for the Premier League side.

Now the 24-year-old has revealed that two of Italy's most decorated outfits are interested in possibly securing his services at the end of the 2013/2014 season.

Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri has enjoyed an "excellent" first half-season with the club, despite admitting the job has given him more grey hairs.

Having finished a dismal ninth last season under Andrea Stramaccioni, Inter currently occupy the second Europa League qualifying place as they lie fifth in the table.

They trail leaders Juventus by 15 points but Napoli, in the third Champions League spot, by only five and veteran Javier Zanetti earlier told Gazzetta dello Sport that catching the latter and rejoining Europe's elite was a realistic aim.

Chelsea look set to strengthen their central midfield in January, with a deal reportedly close, with just a fee to be agreed with Inter Milan for Fredy Guarin.

The Daily Mirror have reported: '' Guarin's agent Marcelo Ferreyra confirmed talks had taken place and insists it is now up to the two clubs to agree a fee.

He told Colombian network Caracol Radio: "We have already been to London with Inter and met with Chelsea directors to make their interest formal.

Inter defender Juan Jesus believes that the team deserve to be in first place in the league standings and revealed that he won’t settle for less.

The Nerazzurri are currently in fourth place on the Serie A table, only two points away from breaking into the top three, but the 22-year-old admits that he won’t be satisfied with just a Champions League spot.

Juan Jesus spoke to Sky Sport Italia about his hunger for success, while also praising his fellow Biscione team-mates and coach Walter Mazzarri.

Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso says he believes new coach Walter Mazzarri is the main reason behind the Nerazzurri’s success so far this season.

The Milan based club finished last season in ninth place, which prompted the change in manager from Andrea Stramaccioni to Mazzarri.

“Compared to the other coaches we had – well, maybe Gian Piero Gasperini, but he didn’t have much time – Mazzarri is someone who has his system of play,” the Argentine told Inter Channel.

Inter coach Walter Mazzarri was impressed by his side after what he felt was one of their best performances this season, against Udinese.

The Nerazzurri ran out 3-0 winners at the Stadio Friuli thanks to goals from Rodrigo Palacio, Andrea Ranocchia and Ricky Alvarez.

“It was one of our best performances of the season, also taking into account the quality of the opponents,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.

Massimo Moratti confirmed Erick Thohir will take over on November 15 and attend Inter-Livorno at San Siro.

The President spoke at the shareholders meeting, where he received a standing ovation.

“It seems natural to me that a change of this nature, regardless of who was there, could create this reaction. I appreciated the applause very much. I am increasingly grateful for all the patience they had with me,” said Moratti.

The 40-year-old defender is edging toward a return to fitness following a lengthy absence after suffering an achilles tendon injury in April.

Inter legend Javier Zanetti has revealed that he is three weeks away from returning to training following a five-month injury layoff.

The Argentine ruptured his achilles tendon in the 1-0 defeat to Palermo in April, prompting fears that the then-39-year-old would call time on his illustrious 18-year career with the Nerazzurri.

Inter wing-back Alvaro Pereira says the team is happy for Diego Milito after he scored a double against Sassuolo on his return long-term injury.

The Argentine, who has just recently recovered from a torn knee ligament, netted twice during the Nerazzurri's 7-0 on Sunday, and the Uruguayan is delighted with the result and his colleague's comeback.

Serie A champions Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by a resilient Inter side at San Siro on Saturday.

A tense and goalless game was eventually punctured by summer signing Mauro Icardi, but Arturo Vidal levelled the scoreline two minutes later to ensure than the Bianconeri remained undefeated in the early stages of the new season.

Inter off to winning start against Genoa

Inter got their Serie A season off to a winning start thanks to a 2-0 home success over Genoa. Yuto Nagatomo and Rodrigo Palacio scored second-half goals to hand Inter all three points in a low-key encounter.


Substitute Mauro Icardi also hit the bar in the final stages as Inter's dominance began to tell. 

Manager Walter Mazzarri made one change from the Inter side that defeated Citadella in last week's Coppa Italia, with Zdravko Kuzmanovic replacing Icardi.

Fabio Liverani named two changes from last week's Coppa Italia exit at the hands of Spezia, with Juraj Kucka and Andrea Bertolacci coming in for Davide Biondini and Moussa Konate. 


Eto'o agent confirms Chelsea are leading race to sign player

Italian outlet Panorama have managed to have a few words with Samuel Eto'o's Italian agent Claudio Vigorelli about possible transfer destinations for the Cameroon international. It's being widely covered in Italy because of the possibility of a return to Inter Milan, even if the financial side of a deal would initially appear impossible for the Serie A club.

According to Panorama they gathered from their meeting with Vigorelli that a return to Inter Milan would be the option which Eto'o most favoured if he's able to leave Anzhi this summer, but Chelsea are far ahead in negotiations. Panorama say that Vigorelli told them a meeting with Chelsea over the last few days went very well but that the Stamford Bridge club won't commit to a deal for Eto'o until they have totally given up on Wayne Rooney.

Rolando wanted Italian job




New Inter signing Rolando says he hoped for another shot at Serie A after his six-month spell at Napoli last season.

The defender has joined the Nerazzurri on loan from Porto in a move which has seen him link-up with boss Walter Mazzarri again.

“We had an excellent season with Napoli last term and I hope to do something similar at Inter,” the Portuguese international told Inter Channel.

Juan Jesus: I Am Learning More And More Under New Inter Boss

Inter defender Juan Jesus has declared that he’s already learning from his new coach Walter Mazzarri since the Italian tactician took over from Andrea Stramaccioni in the summer.

The Brazilian who was a constant feature in the Nerazzurri’s defence last season, playing 44 games in all competitions.

Nevertheless the 22-year-old believes that he still has to improve if he wishes to remain in the starting XI at Inter, but insists that with more competition at the club it will help him be more determined.
