Roma and Inter want Sandro

Saturday, 28 December 2013

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has admitted that he is aware that he is a transfer target of Serie A sides Roma and Inter Milan.

The Brazil international joined Spurs in 2010 when then coach Harry Redknapp brought him to London from Brazilian Serie A side Internacional, and he has since made 76 appearances for the Premier League side.

Now the 24-year-old has revealed that two of Italy's most decorated outfits are interested in possibly securing his services at the end of the 2013/2014 season.

Redknapp reluctant to take Taarabt back

Tuesday, 17 December 2013

Harry Redknapp does not expect Adel Taarabt back at Queens Park Rangers despite the Moroccan being out of favour at Fulham.

Midfielder Taarabt moved across London on a season-long loan following QPR's relegation from the Premier League but he has not been a regular at Craven Cottage.

Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio will keep on criticising his players

Friday, 13 September 2013

Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has vowed to carry on criticising his players in public if they make mistakes.

Di Canio singled out captain John O'Shea for criticism following his sending off cost Sunderland in their 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.

The Italian's man-management style was questioned by several pundits, but Di Canio insists he has no plans to change his approach.

"Harry Redknapp did many interviews last year and no one asked why he said his team was playing rubbish. Why is it only Paolo Di Canio?

QPR’s Harry Redknapp confirms Scott Parker bid

Friday, 16 August 2013

Harry Redknapp has revealed that Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Scott Parker – but the midfielder has yet to decide on a move to the Hoops.

The 66-year-old confirmed QPR chairman Philip Beard had come to an agreement with his Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy for one of Redknapp’s top summer targets.

And the Hoops manager feels Parker would be a massive coup for the Championship side, having worked with the out-of-favour England international during his reign at White Hart Lane.

AC Milan closing in on Julio Cesar

Friday, 5 April 2013

The Brazil international is close to agreeing a two-year contract with the Italian giants having impressed for Harry Redknapp's Premier League strugglers this season

AC Milan are closing in on the signing of QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, Goal.com can reveal.
The 33-year-old joined the west London club last summer from Inter and his performances have represented a rare highlight in a season that seems almost certain to end in relegation.

Cesar has recently won his place back in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Brazil side and is keen to return to Italy, rather than risk appearing at the 2014 World Cup on home soil by plying his trade in the Championship with QPR.

Cesar is close to agreeing a two-year contract worth £1.8 million-a-year with the Rossoneri, who will install the former Flamengo man as their No.1 and retain Christian Abbiati as back-up, while Marco Amelia will be allowed to leave on a free.

Despite his long-standing interest in the player Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, who made an enquiry for the goalkeeper last summer, distanced himself with a move.
Cesar on Thursday although he adopted a similar stance during the club's negotiations with Manchester City for Mario Balotelli.

Galliani told reporters: "Julio Cesar is an excellent keeper, but no, there are no negotiations on course with him or with Queens Park Rangers."

Cesar spent seven highly successful years with Milan’s fierce rivals Inter, winning 14 major honours and playing a key role in the club’s treble season of 2009-10 under Jose Mourinho
