ROUND UP: Man Utd lose to West Brom as Arsenal, Villa, Southampton, Hull and Cardiff all win

 

Substitute Saido Berahino gave West Brom a shock 2-1 victory at Premier League champions Manchester United on Saturday, as Aston Villa came from behind to beat Manchester City and leaders Arsenal won at Swansea.

Chelsea drew at Tottenham but finished with 10 men as Fernando Torres was sent off, and Southampton joined the two London clubs in the top four by beating Crystal Palace.

Hull City held firm to take all three points at home to West Ham, while Jordon Mutch hit a later screamer to give Cardiff victory at Fulham.

A superb display from David Marshall saw the visitors thwarted throughout the game, only for the Brazilian to notch and move the north London side level on points with Arsenal

Substitute Erik Lamela broke down the right-hand side in the 93rd minute and played a low cross into the Brazil international, who impudently flicked the ball into the net.

The win was a just reward for the visitors after they dominated large parts of the game, but Paulinho's strike was harsh on Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall.
