Wayne Rooney joined his England team-mates for training
on Monday ahead of this week's Wembley friendly with Scotland.
The striker has played only 45 minutes of pre-season
football because of hamstring and shoulder injuries, but Manchester United gave
him permission to report for duty at St George's Park.
And Rooney was out on the training pitch at 10am on
Monday - half an hour before the scheduled start of the session - as
preparations began in earnest for the first England-Scotland game in almost 14
years.
