Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Arsenal
striker Marouane Chamakh on a free transfer, confirmed manager Ian Holloway.
Since signing for Arsene Wenger from Bordeaux in 2010,
Chamakh was largely considered a flop at the Emirates. He scored seven goals in 15 league matches
for the Gunners, and then faded rapidly, making just 16 appearances in the last
three seasons.
He went on loan at West Ham last season and even there
made just three appearances.
